Was great to catch up and meet new people today food was good although service was very slow and then BOOM the rugby came on at full volume and couldn't hear others on our table when they spoke which was a shame

Food took 45mins to arrive and when it did generous George did not live up to its name. seemed like an age at the bar ordering. there was too few staff but those that were working were polite . Food was well cooked and tasty

I have found The Red Admiral to be inconsistent. I recently had the Christmas meal in the afternoon with colleagues and I couldnt find fault with it. I returned a couple of weeks later with friends in the evening. It was diabolical, I had expected the same meal served in the same way. Everything was put on the plate where as the afternoon meal had separate dishes of roast potatoes and veg. The food was hotter in the afternoon too. A desert that was pre ordered they didnt have, I was informed they hadnt been able to get in for 3 weeks! This wasnt communicated until it was time for the desert to come out! I had to argue to get the cost of the desert removed from the bill and was advised no because a replacement was issued. The 2 was removed. My friend questioned if her custard was dairy free and it wasnt. Enough of these pre packed meals that are microwaved before served. A decently cooked meal is worth waiting for.

Went here last night for my works Christmas meal and it was very good food and service. Only two in our group of 18 had the Christmas menu while the rest of us ordered from the main menu. The only problem we had was with the Christmas menu as they only had a dessert for one person. So they let them both order from the main menu for no extra charge. For my meal I had Hunters chicken bites, which were very good if a bit hot. I did burn my mouth a little bit. They had big pieces of chicken in each with bacon bits and lots of cheese and it came with bbq sauce. For my main was chicken and waffle that was yummy with the maple syrup on the side (plus chips). Dessert was salted caramel ice cream cheesecake which was the best. Great meal as we even had crackers as we had booked and ordered in advance.

Good family pub, suitable for all age groups. Food was excellent with a wide menu. Will definitely go again, and well done to the staff!
